I have learnt a lot from my preliminary task to the most recent magazine I have created, I think my photography skills have improved a great deal as I know the shot types to use to create the best impression and to make the magazine look professional , I have developed more creative ideas for this magazine as I researched a lot more into it by questionnaires and the internet. Also my skill of Photoshop has improved a great deal with practice and use. I think although the fonts on the first magazine are more aesthetically pleasing, I believe the ‘BEATS’ on my second magazine are much more dramatic and eye catching, also they look more professional and grab the readers attention.  I have also learnt the use of highlighting devives which catch the readers eye such as the yellow numbers in a larger font because I think this makes the magazine look outspoken and catchy.

Overall I think my media skills have improved a great deal with research and practice on the software.

I used Google for many helpful things such as to research my magazine and for ideas on images, layouts, headlines and colour schemes.

This is a screen shot of my contents being created using photoshop, without photoshop it would have been extremely difficult to create my magazine as easy as i have, i used photoshop for all my creating, editing and photo editing.

blogger was another program i used which was helpful to keep track of my progress and help me to build my research up for my magazine. Using blogger made it much more organised and easier to get started and keep track of my progress.

Overall i used many different types of software from internet to basics like paint. This has improved my general understanding of different programs and softwares. Without these different programs i would not have been able to research or create my magazine to the standard it is at, also my images would not have been at the high quality they are out without equipment such as HD cameras and video cameras.

i believe the main image of this cover relates to my own as it dresses the headings around it and therefore fits well  making the cover look well designed and organised, also like my own cover the image is not a close up as it shows most or all of the models body, this makes the cover stand out more as it creates the illusion that the magazine is bigger/greater than the others on the shelf. Also the image overlapping the mast head shows the buyer that it is already a well-known and recognisable magazine

I think the nine images I have chosen make the magazine look professional, the highlighting of the yellow text on the pink background of my front cover stands out to the reader. The text I used on my double page spread uses an effect that gives it the illusion that it is 3d and creates an effective appearance, this makes the magazine look more professional, also the image of the concert looks better for the magazine as it looks more high standard than a average photo from the crowd.
